Hidden Gem in Southern California. The complimentary dinner and breakfast were amazing. All the staff were extra helpful. The location is ideal for people from San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, etc. Also there is an apple tree with mini apples! Definitely will recommend this place for anyone who wants a nice escape from the city. The staff will go above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant stay. 🙂

Really neat place with a volleyball court, hammock forest, great location and more. I visited in the summer and the staff was super friendly! They gave me some great hiking recommendations. I cannot wait to come back and visit in the winter. This would also be a prime spot for ski season. Highly recommend. Also Beware of Yogi the watchdog, he welcomed me with a ball in his mouth lolol.

The atmosphere in the ITH Zoo Hostel is just amazing. The staff is all super friendly and helpful and they play along with the games or other stuff you're doing. The free breakfast and dinner was a super big plus, the food was really good. There are also at least one or sometimes two fun activities per day planned. I only stayed there for 3 days, but I felt so close to everyone there after such a short time, yes cheesy. Would definitely recommend, and would love to come back myself!

This hostel is in a great location, close to a Rite Aid, Whole Foods, and a bunch of restaurants. It is in a great place to great around without having to be in one specific kind of neighborhood. It is also nice to be able to walk to Balboa Park. Staff was great and friendly. It was also really nice to have breakfast and dinner as part of the accommodation fees--quite unique from my experience with hostels here and abroad. I would recommend this hostel!

Awesome hostel, great staff, cool vibe, great neighborhood. A little hot at night but the awesome atmosphere, and free breakfast (and dinner!!!) more than makes up for it. Beds comfortable, and had the largest hostel showers I’ve seen. Definitely will be staying again.

Great to eat breakfast on the deck, lounging looking out at the waves and surfers over the heads of people walking on the boardwalk . The hostel also has shared food prepared nightly and tons of ideas on what and where to hang. Great place.

This place is awesome! Good crew all round, great location on the beach and in a great spot. Can't recommend this place enough. Would be awesome if they had private rooms available during our stay but didn't matter too much everyone in this location had a great attitude and nothing was an issue. Would definitely return.

If you want a hostel that feels like a home, to make lifelong friends, relax on the beach, or party the night away then this is the hostel for you. I intended on staying for one night and ended up there for a week, if I didn't have a flight back home I would never have left. The staff really make this hostel worthwhile and with events every night it's perfect.

Located in San Francisco's Chinatown neighborhood, Pacific Tradewinds offers the archetypal hostel experience. A small and very social hostel, Pacific Tradewinds is the perfect place to make friends and explore the city together.
Had this place recommended to my by a friend, and price was good so I thought I'd try it. The people here are so incredibly friendly and welcoming, facilities were good and atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful. Stayed in one of the quiet dorms (on the floor below from main common area) and it was clean and serviceable. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a place to stay in San Francisco! Location was also fantastic - really short walk from the Embarcardero, and Fisherman's Wharf, and super close to Union Square, shopping and public transport. 11/10 would come here again 🙂
This was my first time sharing a room in a hostel and it was great. Julian was extremely helpful with answering my questions and went above and beyond with making sure I was taken care of. Clean bathrooms, comfortable sleeping and shared spaces. Everyone was smiling and friendly. I enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it. Near train stations and easy to get to by uber or lyft.
I was nervous for my first hostel experience but my time at Pacific Tradewinds was amazing. The staff were super friendly and made me feel comfortable right away, especially as a solo traveller. I also met some really awesome people from all over the world. My time there felt like a home away from home and I didn't want to leave. The amenities were well kept and the kitchen was well stocked, making it easy to prepare meals to go. Location was perfect - good walking distance to the main city areas and in a relatively safe area. Would 110% recommend to anyone going to San Francisco. I'll be back guys.
Spread across a number of buildings in San Diego's Little Italy neighborhood, ITH Adventure Hostel has something for everyone. Each building caters to a different type of traveler, from mixed dorms for those looking to enjoy Downtown San Diego's nightlife to premium rooms for business travelers. Despite the disconnect layout of the buildings, ITH Adventure Hostel is a very social hostel with those looking to meet new friends gathering in the communal area each night.
The location is a perfect base for exploring San Diego with most downtown attractions in walking distance from the hostel.
I had a great stay at ITH Adventure! I’ve been traveling through the US and am in my last week and it was just what I needed! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and clean rooms, really quirky decorated with everything you would need. I was in a full dorm and didn’t have problem waiting for the bathroom in the morning. They had a BBQ on the patio with some music playing which made for a lovely chill vibe. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a great place on a budget in San Diego!

Easily my favorite hostel! It's very inexpensive and extremely comfortable to stay in! Everyone is so nice and every night is a lot of fun. Great outdoor and indoor atmosphere! They put on great free BBQs almost every night and have a bunch of other activities. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in San Diego!

This place has become my home over the last week and a half after I moved to San Diego from Denver. The staff is magnificent, this is the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed at, and I met my new best friend during my stay. You can't not stay here if you're visiting San Diego. Also make sure to listen and hang out with Andrew each night, he has incredible words of life wisdom.
