The Gardner Hotel is the oldest hotel in El Paso. Most of its 311 beds are private rooms, but with a selection of comfortable 4-bed dormitories it's the ideal choice for budget travelers. Set right in the heart of downtown El Paso close to the Greyhound and Amtrak stations, you can easily get around on foot from the hostel.
Whether you're visiting the city of El Paso or on your way to Carlsbad Caverns or White Sands, the Gardner Hotel is the perfect place for a clean and comfortable stay in a memorable, historic hotel.
The room was very clean. The kitchen/living area (and washing machines) in the basement was a great amenity for a longer-term trip. Good discounts with area bars and restaurants.
This is real old time. Ac works though open windows from hall to room. At first you think what!!!! but then it all feels quite comfortable. Beds are good. Craft beer shop next door. Breakfast a block away. Open mike night Wednesday at pizza place below.
Staff were all very nice. Hotel is right downtown, next door to several small good eateries. Lovely, old, interesting lobby. Large, clean self-serve, self-clean kitchen downstairs. Bed was comfortable (I needed an extra blanket).
